Mulwala Waste Water Treatment Plant

This project involved the replacement of a trickling filter waste water treatment plant with an IDEA plant to service a population of 8000 EP.

The works included the construction of a new plant complete with inlet works, IDEA tank, sludge lagoons, catch balance pond, UV disinfection system, a chemical dosing system and an amenities building.

CCB's scope also included elements of detailed design from a basic NSW Public Works design, and full construction and commissioning of all elements of the plant.

Environmental issues such as the site being located in dry sludge lagoons were addressed during the course of the contract.
